Concepts

In mathematics, many concepts are used to indicate that you can't calculate something.

Indeterminate

If every answer is possible you call it indeterminate, as with

= indeterminate
= indeterminate
1 = indeterminate

Undefined

If there is no solution you call it undefined, as with

= undefined
= undefined
= undefined
= undefined
0 = undefined

By definition

If you cannot explain something you can specify it by definition, as with

00 ≝ 1

i2 = –1

q* : = a − bi − cj − dk
