Magnetization

The magnetization M is the vector field that expresses the density of permanent or induced magnetic dipole moments in a magnetic material.

Explanation

In addition, magnetisation describes how a material changes the magnetic field.

It is a vector quantity that plays a role in electromagnetic field theory and thus also in the Maxwell equations.

Example 1

The magnetic field strength occurs in the Maxwell equation of the magnetic flux density fluxdichtheid

where

    B Magnetic flux density
    µ0 Magnetic field constant
    H Magnetic field strength
    M Magnetization
