General theory of relativity

The general theory of relativity describes gravity as a property of space and time.

Mass and energy bend spacetime, and affect the movement of particles, including light.

The theory of relativity agrees with the observations. However, it does not take into account the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics.

The German physicist Albert Einstein published the theory in 1915.
