Archimedean Mathematics

Mathematics that works with things that are directly observable or intuitively understandable is called Archimedean mathematics.

Explanation

Today's mathematics has evolved over hundreds of years. We are well acquainted with the ancient Greeks Archimedes, Euclid, and Pythagoras. But we also know the ancient Chinese Liu Hui and Qin Jiushao. The ancient Persians Omar Kayyám and Al-Chwarizmi were important. Also we have not forgotten the old Arab al-Haytham. In every culture mathematics was further developed and passed on to others.

Example 1

History

The Name "Archimedean Mathematics" is a tribute to the ancient Greek Archimedes (287 - 212 BC).
