According to the ancient Greek Parmenides of Elea, everything is one, indivisible, unchanging and eternal.

If an object were to move anywhere, there should first be empty space (a non-being) there. According to him, this was pretence.

His reasoning was "Thinking and Being are one and the same".

The ancient Greek Parmenides (c. 520 BC - 455 BC) tried to explain the idea of existence.
