Multiplication of complex numbers

The multiplication of two complex numbers can be expressed most easily in polar coordinates, where the size (or modulus) of the two polar coordinates is the product of the two absolute values, and where the resulting angle of the product is the sum of the two angles.

Example 1

A multiplication of a complex number with modulus 1 can be interpreted as a rotation.
