Dirac fermion

A Dirac fermion is a fermion that is not its own antiparticle.

Explanation

Allmost all particles are Dirac fermions. A possible exception could be neutrinos, elementary particles that are listed in the Standard Model.

History

In 1928 the British quantum physicist Paul Dirac deduced the existence of antimatter.
