Elliptical geometry

In elliptical geometry, there are no parallel lines.

Explanation

It is a non-Euclidean geometry, where, given a line m and a point P not lying on m, there exists no other line parallel to m that passes through P.

History

Elliptical geometry was introduced in 1854 by the German mathematician Bernhard Riemann.
