Artificial intelligence (AI)
If a computer can perform difficult calculations quickly you speak of artificial intelligence.
Explanation
Intelligence is seen as a typical human trait. Creativity is also regarded as such. Of course, animals can have this aswell. And even in computers, intelligence, creativity, feeling, etc. can be installed.
What we currently call artificial intelligence is greatly exaggerated, as there is still far too little known about the techniques that eventually all will be needed for that.
HistoryHere the statement of the Dutch mathematician Edsgar Dijkstra (1930 – 2002) is applicable: "The question of whether machines can think is about as relevant as the question of whether submarines can swim". |
