Möbius strip

A Möbius strip is a loop where you can not distinguish between above and below.

Explanation

If you stick a strip of paper together at its ends, where one end is twisted, then a loop occurs that has no inside and outside. It has only one surface.

History

This strip was described by the German mathematician August Möbius in 1858.
