### Positive number

A **positive number** can be written with a plus sign, but normally it is omitted.

##### Explanation

In the UK positive numbers are greater than 0. In Belgium these numbers are called *strikt positief* (*strictly positve*). In the UK the number 0 itself is neither positive, nor negative. In Belgium the number 0 is a positive- and a negative number aswell. There, schoolchildren also calculate with +0 and −0 as outcomes. So

5 − 5 = +0 |
