Principle of locality

An effect is local when a remote cause does not have an immediate impact.

Explanation

In contrast, for a non-local phenomenon, the effect is immediate 'everywhere'.

This is the case with quantum entanglement. It is a state in which two or more physical objects are connected in such a way that one object can no longer be fully described without specifically mentioning the other – even though they are spatially separated.

History

Dutch physicist Ronald Hansen performed a quantum teleportation in 2015.
