Quantum teleportation

A quantum teleportation is limited to the transfer of information rather than matter itself.

Explanation

It provides a way of transporting a qubit from one location to another without having to move a physical particle along with it.

History

One of the first demonstrations of quantum teleportation with photons was given by the Austrian physicist Anton Zeilinger in 1997.
