Slide rule

The slide rule is a mechanical analog computer, that was used in the past for arithmetic.

 


Explanation

Always use your calculator in arithmetics. That prevents errors, and you save a lot of time. Do not be ashamed if you take your calculator even for simple tasks. Thereby you develop routine.

 


History

Until around 1980, the slide rule, together with 'the' Abramowitz & Stegun, formed the standard computing tool for technicians, physicists and engineers.
