Slide rule

The slide rule is a mechanical analog computer, that was used in the past for arithmetic.

Always use your calculator in arithmetics. That prevents errors, and you save a lot of time. Do not be ashamed if you take your calculator even for simple tasks. Thereby you develop routine.

Until around 1980, the slide rule, together with 'the' Abramowitz & Stegun, formed the standard computing tool for technicians, physicists and engineers.
