### Decimal point

On a Casio calculator you can enter a decimal point with the key

##### Example 1

To calculate

 1 a b/c 2 + 1    6 = 1┘2+1.6          2.1

Results of calculations that mix fraction and decimal values are always decimal.

##### Example 2

To calculate sin (½π) = 1

 sin ·   5 EXP = sin .5π            1.

##### Example 3

To calculate 101.25

 log 1   ·   2   5 = 1.25   17.7827941

##### Example 4

To calculate sin-1(0.56) = 0.5943858

 sin ·   5   6 = sin-1.56    0.5943858

##### Example 5

To convert rectangular coordinates (1, 1.739) to polar coordinates (r, θ) enter two values, separated by a comma

 Pol( 1 , 1   ·   7   3   9 ) = Pol(1,1.739)  2.006021186

##### Example 6

To convert 2.75 to the improper fraction

 2   ·   7   5 = 2.75         2.75 a b/c 2.75        11┘4.

##### Example 7

To convert an angle of 4.25 radians to degrees

The standard setting for angles must be on degrees.

To convert 0.08125 grams to milligrams

##### Display format

There are many countries where decimal point and comma are used differently. You can change the display settings for decimal point and comma. The function of the keys stays unchanged, so it is not wise to do this.
