Variable

In a function, a variable can have different values.

 


Example 1

In a simple form you get

f (x) = a · xn

where x is the variable, a the coefficient and n the exponent.

 


Example 2

In the polynomial

with the variable x are a0a1a2, ... , an the coefficients of the subsequent terms.

 


Example 3

In the quadratic function of the variable x

is p a parameter that can have different values.
