Weak interaction
The weak interaction binds the elementary particles in the atomic nucleus to each other.
Explanation
This interaction is transmitted by the W+ boson, the W− boson and the Z0 boson. The weak interaction is one of the 4 fundamental forces of nature.
It is, through radioactive decay in the earth's interior, largely responsible for the heathing of the magma. And that sometimes causes volcanic eruptions.
HistoryThe Italian physicist Enrico Fermi postulated the weak interaction in 1933. |
